Related Facts
The first purpose built anti-tank weapon was a bolt-action rifle, the Mauser 1918 T-Gewehr, that fired a 13mm cartridge with a solid bullet that could penetrate the thin armor of tanks of the time.
Primitive canteens were sometimes made of hollowed-out gourds, such as a calabash, or were bags made of leather.
"Stahlhelm" translates to "steel helmet", however the distinctive German helmet design is commonly referred to as a Stahlhelm.
