All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment (ALICE)

Developed between 1965 and 1971 as a replacement for the M-1956 and M-1967 load carrying equipment. It was adopted by all military branches in 1973. It is now nearly phased out and replaced by MOLLE but some components are still in use.
